Some weapons from www.lopolycoop.com, thank you!

Forget where this came from, Thank you!                      Jump Gate

Made in Wings 3d, I'd use Sketchup now.

Twice the monsters!

Bummer, my wonderful dungeon won't load in RC1, starting over
A Blender cave made originally for Quake 4, ripped off from here

spiral tower and arched circle from 'ancient_ruins.zip'     Land textures don't repeat now.

skinny.jpg skinny2.jpg

skinny mesh generator made this cave, beats extruding cubes!

neoaxis_terrain.jpg

neoaxis_terrain2.jpg

Here's a shot of www.neoaxisgroup.com new terrain engine. The engine uses Ogre and Microsoft .net framework (26MB), Net framework also requires Windows installer 3 (2.5MB).
it's free for noncommercial, just $100 for 1 title. I'm trying to make my neighborhood with it, but I don't
recognize any landmarks.

walker_3dsmax.jpg

This is an accurate 3d mesh, not a heightmap, made in 3ds max. with an actual satellite photo.

l3dt_neo.jpg

Here's one made with the fjord tutorial from bundysoft.com.

neo_layers.jpg  neo_terrain.jpg

Here's an l3dt terrain in the Neoaxis editor, the different texture locations were generated
by the l3dt program, then 3 alpha maps were saved and loaded into Neoaxis.

weeds on Neo terrain                                                                      get this to convert your  Reality Factory .map (you export to .map with World Editor 2) to .3ds, now you can use them in Neoaxis! This is a 3ds Max shot, Blender241 3ds import is broken, but it works in 2.44. However, the simplest cube had 56 extra vertices, and what use a bunch of blocks
would be I don't know. map23ds page is here

Terrain with normal maps instead of detail maps
shadow_map_high.jpg

Only shadow map high setting is any good, doesn't kill the frame rate either.

earth_sculptor2.jpg

Made this with Earth Sculptor
But it won't work in Neoaxis

battle_2_editor.jpg

Made this with the Battlefield 2 editor

battle_2_heightmap.jpg

Yes it works in Neoaxis!
lightmaps.jpg

bottom shot has the new lightmaps of Neoaxis 052

carl.jpg   wallking_on_air.jpg monster_3drt.jpg

A model from Noesis Interactive dvd  "Advanced Character Animation for Half-life" I highly recommend it, it works in Neoaxis also. In the middle  is Knute, an old model I put through
Softimage. On the right the monster_3drt from 3drt.com.

Couple of Texturemaker-generated textures, with Crazybump normal and specular maps, assembled in Neoaxis. Update May 2008: Crazybump costs $99 now, so I went back to texturemaker, does a good enough job and has 100's more features for only $142 or so.  Gimp makes normal maps also, it's free. Update 6-2008: my Nvidia photoshop normal map/dds plugins  suddenly started working again after 2 years. (?)

 Finally got lightmapping going

cubes_neo.jpg
I think I generated this with Blender City Generator.

cityscape.jpg

There are 8 million stories in the Naked City..made with Blender 2.41 and discombobulator
the base mesh was a 32x32 grid,  turned off all the fancy stuff, especially 'taper', 1 box, 1
protrusion, 1 doodad.

mapzone.jpg
tutorial
for mapzone, the node-based texture generator. I looked at it a couple years ago, said
'no thanks', but I might give it a try, it's free. At least you don't have a million pictures open
like texturemaker.

chestnut_bricks.jpg

This one only has 7 nodes.

http://celestiamotherlode.net/catalog/fic_arcbuilder.php

has some nice looking planets and spaceships, You can go to flamingpear.com and get the free lunar cell
filter for Photoshop, makes planet textures-

lunar_cell.jpg  planet_orange_green.jpg planet_tie_dye.jpg

Actually lunar cell says I have 2 days left, I think I got this 2 years ago, better get busy.

Caelum is a day/night sky add-on for Neoaxis:

Orange juice commercial!

midday.jpg

I would have taken a night shot but it was past my bedtime.

images/paintball.jpg

Artifex makes Neoaxis-compatible heightmaps, runs slow on my 1.5 GHZ machine, looks like paintball bombing.

images/game_shot5.jpg images/game_shot6.jpg

images/game_shot7.jpg

I tried it on an AMD sempron 1.6 ghz, it was much faster for some reason.
